Fishermen trained thanks to MAVA Foundation project.
As part of the project “Consolidation of a comprehensive, sustainable and community-supported turtle conservation program on Maio island, Cabo Verde” financed by MAVA Foundation, FMB held a leadership and management training for the fishermen of the island, in partnership with our local partners of the General Directorate of the Marine Resources (DGRM).
The several training sessions that have been run throughout the year, aim to empower the local fishermen through the Fishing Associations.
